OK, so I listened to it. @zaynzayzayn: More like poetry with a bell in the background. But certainly acceptable as music, if rap gets accepted. @LondonLouis: The text is supposed to provoke, if it does, then the author reached his objective. It's ugly and nasty and I'm happy that it's not mainstream.
Have been brought back to this. I remain ambivalent, but it is interesting. It's a bit like a Tarantino movie. You find yourself watching/listening to them, but you wonder if the subject matter was non-violent/non-sexual whether it would stand on its other merits.
this new player showed me slides of a guy, much younger than the composer shown on the others, with a gun in a shooting alley or something. Thought it was a bug - but with this track REALLY creepily connected
Transfixing...unsettling...strangely erotic, and yet what was that part about a gun? Very uncomfortable listening after that point...which was at the very beginning, so basically I guess I'm saying this is a difficult listening experience. And yet I enjoyed it immensely. What does that say about me? That I appreciate art? That I'm a pervert? I'd like to think it was the former.
