Robert Plant and Alison Krauss crafted an album together in 2007 titled Raising Sand. The album featured production by T-Bone Burnett and songwriting by Plant, Tom Waits, Sam Phillips, Townes Van Zandt and Gene Clark among others.

On Feb. 8, 2009, the highly acclaimed Raising Sand took Album of the Year honors at the Grammy awards. In addition, the song “Please Read the Letter” (a Plant/Page composition) won Record of the Year, and Krauss and Plant nabbed a third award for Best Pop Collaboration With Vocals.

A follow up album to Raising Sand is in the works.

I'm so glad, that Robert made it back to world-class music. AT LAST! And what a good partner Alison is! A real union of different styles. Wonderful contrast. The best CD I've ever bought. ANd couldn't resist going to see them live too! LOL...>:-)
