Rival Songs was a Brooklyn, NY, USA, instrumental, rock band from 2005 to 2008. The band was formed from 4/5ths of the band Argentine. It consisted of Chris Curtis (formerly of Solar Return) on guitar and viola, Marcus Smith on bass and keys, Robin Fowler (Gods And Queens, formerly of The Desert Fathers) on drums and samples and Nat Guy (formerly of The Last Town Chorus) on guitar.

In 2008 Nat moved to Tampa, Florida and Chris, Robin & Marcus joined with Nikhil Kamineni & Yseult Tyler to form Quiet Lights.
