Biography

Rising Up Angry is an upcoming national metal band breaking out of the Orlando, FL music scene. Originally formed in Chicago, IL back in 1997 by guitarists Chris Williams and Mick Vega, Rising Up Angry has a long and storied history of giving their fans the most energetic and bone crushing music imaginable. With the amazing talents of Joe Carlson on drums and percussion, Brian Benton on bass guitar, and Kevin Lee on vocals, Rising Up Angry has formed a powerfully unique and original sound all their own.

On stage, Rising Up Angry is even more impressive. With one of the most astounding audio and visual displays in the business, their live shows are legendary. They’ve shared the stage with countless national acts such as Shinedown, Saliva, Rob Zombie, Atreyu, Lacuna Coil, Sevendust, Soil, Drowning Pool, Taproot, Nonpoint, Mudvayne, Trivium, Dark New Day and many more, always leaving crowds everywhere chanting, “RUA… RUA… RUA…”

After spending much of 2009 in the studio, Rising Up Angry released their much anticipated full length CD “On Angry Grounds” on March 26, 2010. This impressive collection of tracks consists of dueling guitars, shredding solos, thunderous bass lines, in-depth drumming, and intricately performed keys and samples. All of this is rounded out by extremely catchy melodies and strong choruses, and is sure to please the metal hungry masses.
