Rise of Caligula

Rise of Caligula began in late 2006 and released their debut LP ‘Parading From Heaven’s Descent’ in October 2009.

“At its core “Parading From Heaven’s Descent” is a compelling fixture in modern metal. Threading as it enthralls its listeners into the darkest and loneliest paths of life. Captivating and brutal all in one breath, it’s easy to say that Rise of Caligula speaks as one of the loudest voices in underground metal. Nihilistic in theory and apocalyptic in nature, this is the answer to the flashy metal bands. This is about as legit as it gets.”

I remember seeing them a few years back. They put out some seriously good shit. With Kerry and George moving on and forming deafheaven, they are now at the peak of their powers! \m/

kerry and george went on to form deafheaven. deafheaven have gary in the touring lineup now, so it's basically the closest anyone will ever get to a rise of caligula reunion. (john kline played drums on the deafheaven demo too, fyi)

This is definitely not deathcore! What it is: extremely aggressive technical "nu-grind" goodness with a hint of death. These dudes sure know how to dish it out.

people with a totally different taste in music, for example generic copy&paste deathcore like whitechapel or blind witness shouldnt comment or wrongtag a superior band like this one!
