I never could get into this album. Its production is muffled and weak-sounding (the difference Alan Moulder and Marc Waterman make!), which really harms the songs (I *want* to like 'em but keep distracted by the blurry sludgy toilet sonics - Loz especially gets shafted, his drums should be punchier!), and some of the songwriting seems tentative (outside "Like a Daydream", there's a lot of slim pickings), especially in the solos. Well, "solos" - most of them just sound like Andy and Mark puking noise through wah-wah pedals. It doesn't really stack up anywhere near to Nowhere.

Seen 'em 1990 in Hamburg they 're so brill. Later then, i saw 'em a few times, they 're really good, better and better (lve , on record , i think, they 'd lost the noise.

anyone remember seeing, "Like a Daydream" on Mtv during the daytime rotation? i do. but then i remember having a rotary phone in my childhood home.
