Biography

Richard John Thompson is a critically acclaimed singer / songwriter, who releases his music through the independent record label Chicken Wire Records.

To date, Richard has released two full length studio albums worldwide (“Hidden Daylight” and “Illogical Life”), and in 2007 he released his eagerly awaited “Acoustic Sessions EP”.

January 2009 brought confirmation that Richard will be recording his new EP in April , and it is due to be released in September 2009.

Over the past three years Richard has toured with and supported artists such as Gabriella Cilmi, Midge Ure, The Proclaimers, Sandi Thom, Deacon Blue, John Martyn, Duke Special, David Ford, Alexander O’Neal, James Yorkston, Geno Washington, and Polly Paulusma.
