Reza Filsoofi was born in 1973, Tehran Iran.

Whispers of Persia is a collection of traditional Iranian music composed and performed exclusively by Iranian soloist Reza Filsoofi. The instrument he features in this song selection is the Se-tar, accompanied by the unique percussive sounds of the Daf and the Tombak.

For many years, Filsoofi had the privilege of refining his musical talents in Iran with master musicians such as Zarrabian, Shoaari, and Arash Farhangfar. The knowledge gained from these masters has opened doors for him to perform before live audiences in Iran and the United States.

Reza Filsoofi currently resides in Miami, Florida and is recording his next CD, a collection of haunting yet lyrical songs played on the Santur.
