Resul Balay is an arabesque singer from Turkey. Surprisingly, he became quite popular among metalheads. He had released two known albums, “Nazlı Yarim Haber Salmış” and “Sahipsizim”. After this arabesque-style albums he disappeared from the scene, and became a legend. His albums are now extremely rare and quite impossible to find.Recently, a TV channel in Turkey claimed that they had found this legendary man (see the avatar) but there are also rumours telling that he was murdered long ago. So, the real fact about his presence still remains unknown.

Also Resul Balay is very famous with Turkish metalheads. The fans of many metal bands listen Resul Balay with great joy and exictement. Balay’s hit single “Nazlı Yarim Haber Salmış” has a very sorrowful content and some find it even brutal. The song is about the hardship in the lives of the poor in 1970s’ Turkey. The lyrics as “kimi Parislere gider eğlenir” (some go to Paris and have fun) is in fact about the rich. According to Balay, rich do not have the phenomenon “geçim sıkıntısı” in their lives. But the struggle of life is a very different rage for the poor. “kimi sokaklarda durur dinlenir” (some beg for money in the streets) is about beggars, “kimi insan satar öyle geçinir” (some sell humans and make a living) is about a way of very illegal and wrong way to make a living. But, the issue is not that easy for Resul. In the lyrics he cries out that he cannot earn enough money to make his coy beloved happy. In no way he can earn the money.
