Renegade Ride is a rock group based in Helsinki, Finland. The group used to be known as The Ride and was founded in 2005. After spending some time rehearsing, gigging and writing new material, they released their debut album Dream Machine in April 2009 through their own label Dazzlebox. The album is available via all major digital stores, including iTunes and CD Baby.
Renegade Ride’s style is modern rock - heavy guitar riffs combined with acoustic guitars, catchy choruses and vocal harmonies. The sound and style resembles modern American rock bands, such as Incubus, Queens of the Stone Age and Foo Fighters.
On their MySpace page Renegade Ride describes themselves as: “Sometimes grinding hard, but not metal. Partly soft, but not pop. A bit unpredictable, but not too progressive. Renegade Ride - a modern rock band with a twist.”
The band will spend 2009 promoting their debut album, playing at clubs in the Helsinki area and writing (and possibly recording) new material.
