Wonderful track, especially the bits where the singing is done by the instruments.

Listening to the Carnegie Hall live version right now - the 23 minute version :) This song is just so amazing. Camp's bass solo is awesome!

I think the 16 or 17 minute version is best.

There must be 2 versions of this out there. The one I am listening to right now sounds like a tortured cat, it is NOT Annie! At least not the Annie I love. I have heard the "real" version. Bring it back.

@Roy1968Wood -- I dig the Relf and intirim versions of this band... Haslam's version was really the third version. If you like that sound, check out the two albums by Illusion (also the title of the 2nd album by Renaissance)... Kind of Renaissance's "road not taken"; they are a good band too...

    Another outstanding song by Renaissance.

Does anyone here remember that the late Keith Relf of The Yardbirds founded this group? He only played on the first album before dying of electrocution in his home studio.

I wish the singers today had half the talent Annie did.

So Amazing!!! I am sure I had the vinyl back in the 70's. Course I am sure I had a lot of things back then - so many ashes ago...

I love this group! I have seen them live three times in my life and always enjoyed the bass solo during this song. Of course Annie's vocals are second to none, even live.

I appreciate that this was really crazy and trippy when it came out...but to me it's just annoying. My 4 year old sings like that.

I heard Annie sing this live a little over a year ago. She did a fantastic job at this ... at this point I believe her voice is ageless.

A long-time favorite band of mine. They were very popular in my area in eastern PA. Saw them at Lafayette College, several shows in Philadelphia, and once or twice in NYC. Met Annie years later at her annual Christmas party at her Pennsylvania home, enjoyed a nice substantive chat with her (she's SUCH a sweet and bubbly dear woman!), got my 'Annie in Wonderland' album cover autographed, and got a kiss on the cheek. Life was GOOD! :o)
