Released 2004, the album brought a heavier edge to the usual punk rock sound heard in earlier albums. MMHMM also marked the introduction of the piano in the band, played by lead singer Matt Thiessen.

The Album went Gold in July 2005. The mainstream success of the album also pushed their previous albums "Two Lefts Don't Make a Right…but Three Do" and "The Anatomy of the Tongue in Cheek" to Certified Gold.

To be honest, I don't (and I'm sure many others don't) care about whether or not you believe in God. Can't you just enjoy listening to Relient K without thinking "oh this song is about God and i don't believe in him" or whatever? It's a SONG. And also, whether you're trying to get people to believe in him or not, forcing your beliefs at others is not the way to do it. For example: Posting sites like or something. Grow up, not everyone sees it the way you do okay. Just enjoy the music, please.
