It was a flawless show. Regina's is such a pro and her voice is getting more powerful with each year.
She played the new album almost in its entirety (minus Jessica, of course) and sprinkled it generously with songs from Far, Begin to Hope and even Soviet Kitsch, but Ain't no Cover as the opening song was the real (and only) surprise of the evening. My favourites were All the Rowboats, Blue Lips, Eet, Open, Us. She played from 9 pm to 10.45 pm and it seemed way too short.
During the first part of the show I thought I saw her teal guitar onstage and got all giddy ("OMG, will there be Bobbing for Apples? Or another reaaally old song of hers??! Woohooo! XDDD"), but either it was me hallucinating or she decided she wasn't in a guitar-y mood and had it removed. Or it might have been Only Son's guitar and he took it with him after the duet. Will we ever find out ? *ominous music*
