Red Cassette is in reality just one man Andrew Balls, known to his close friends and distant relations as simply ‘Ballsy’. His unique brand of folk is both very english and decidedly unconventional. Gigs are notable for their humorous self-deprecation and innovative playing of both guitar and banjo - somehow managing to coax sounds from both that the millions of other singer-songwriters have never stumbled upon.

Occasionally plays with the Wagon Band, made up of former members of The Minute Book and CORD.

Also features in the Norfolk super group Counter Reads Zero.
