Biography

(2009 – present)

Record Club is a project initiated by Beck in June 2009. It is an informal meeting of various people to record an album in a day. An album is chosen to be reinterpreted and used as a framework. Nothing is rehearsed or arranged ahead of time. A track is uploaded once a week on www.beck.com as well as through the websites of those involved with the project. The next album was announced today: Yanni Live at the Acropolis. I definitely didn't see that coming. It should be interesting.

Kick was very good, but Oar is still the best, methinks. What a chemistry.

It is so rad that they choose to do Kick. Totally an album I considered a guilty pleasure.

I'm very impressed with Kick. I think it's the best Record Club installment yet. I could listen to "Never Tear Us Apart" and "Mystify" all day.

Maybe I just personally enjoy Feist's vocals but I think Weighted Down should be way higher on the charts.
