Biography

The Re-Up Gang was created in early 2004, during Clipse’s long hiatus between their first and second albums. The group includes Clipse themselves, as well as long-time friend Ab-Liva of Major Figgas and Sandman. Pusha-T is credited with founding the group, and was responsible for enlisting the help of mixtape DJ Clinton Sparks to put together their first mixtape in an ongoing series, We Got It 4 Cheap: Vol. 1.

The group is signed to Clipse’s own record label imprint, Re-Up Records. While a Re-Up Gang album is planned, no specifics have been released due to Clipse’s own legal issues with Jive Records

The group recently created a website that keeps up to date with what is going on in the group. The website is reupgangrecords.net

    Ab-Liva is still cool with Malice and Pusha. Re-Up Gang is still in existence, Sandman has left though. I don't think we can expect another mixtape or album from them for a while since all focus is currently put on the new Clipse album. I really hope that they can reconcile with Sandman or otherwise they should contract a fourth member who fits in nice with the others. Re-Up Gang are one of my favorite groups of all time. No one does coke rap like them and the mixtapes are so dope, great flow and lyrics. R-E-U-P-G-A-N-G

    too bad, liva and sandman complimented the clipse very well, very contrasting voices and flows. liva and sandman should make a group, that would be fresh. they had some of the illest verses on WGIFC3 imo and outshined Mal and Pusha on several tracks.
