Who could have devised the kind of wacko equation wherein a guy known for cornball novelty songs (no slight intended - I love "The Streak," "It's Me Again, Margaret," et al) puts a bouncy countrypolitan sheen onto a classic American standard of romantic longing - and turns into one of the most unexpectedly wonderful songs in pop music? Who, I ask? Who is that man?

This bluegrass treatment of a rather soppy classic is so refreshing. It never fails to impress me. The backing is so clever - "violins begin to play "- bluegrass fiddle - then the cowbell picks up the beat - it makes you want to dance. With his amazing voice it really is a treat.
