Born in Tucson, Arizona, Ray started his musical career at the age of eight with his family band. His influences range from Paco de Lucia, Egberto Gismonti to Pat Metheny.

He has toured throughout the world as a sideman with such groups as Joan Sebastian, Jose Manuel Figueroa, Quetzal and as a featured artist with his own group. Ray has released four CD’s internationally, which have received critical acclaim. Currently he lives in London, England where he occupies his time between freelance projects and teaching.
