Rasha is a mononym of Rasha Sheikh Eldin (b. 1971, Khartoum, Sudan), who grew up in Sudan's capital, where the Islamic Nubian and Black African musical worlds collide. She comes from a musical family, one of twenty children.   • very beautiful and unique voice, reminds me on Hanan Al Nil but naturally it is nevertheless no comparison. The song is marvelous, acc to the tradition of Sudanese music a little bit long for western ears, nevertheless in each case it is worth to listen fully.

  • Rasha has such a gorgeous voice! Her album "Sudaniyat" is wonderful. It's also vastly superior to "Let Me Be," which is awful in its overproduction and the addition of the "smooth jazz" and pop feel (which is extra sad because the political messages on that album really deserve to be heard!). Just one listener's opinion.
