I've been listening to Rajna for years and just can't understand why they're fanatically compared to DCD all the time. I'm not deying they're legendary, but did DCD actually invent all the ethnic instruments or is dark ethnic music prohibited for everyone except for them? I mean, I know they can sound similar, but just look at all the rock bands! Shouldn't they be accused of copying all the other and older ones?

I think Rajna's "Cantara" sounds like a bad joke compared to Dead Can Dance's original. And they also have to work more on production, I listened to the FLAC version of "Black Tears" and it still sounds like an unfinished mastered product. I don't mind the DCD influences that much, but at least they should stick to their own stuff and stop experimenting with failed covers.

I haven't listened to DCD much in the past few years, I find their music to be a bit heavy. Rajna's music is more light and ethereal. Maybe I even could say it is more spiritual.
