About This Track

‘These Are My Twisted Words’ was released on August 17th 2009 as a free download on www.radiohead.com with the following note from Jonny Greenwood:

So here’s a new song, called ‘These Are My Twisted Words’.

We’ve been recording for a while, and this was one of the first we finished.
We’re pretty proud of it.

There’s other stuff in various states of completion, but this is one we’ve been practicing, and which we’ll probably play at this summer’s concerts. Hope you like it.

The download came with various artwork pictures by vocalist Thom Yorke and Radiohead associate, the writer and artist Stanley Donwood. It came with instructions that the artwork should be printed on tracing paper and put “in an order that pleases you.” (Source These Are My Twisted Words Songfacts).

this song shows perfectly how great this band is. Still, since 1995, no bad efforts.

My favorite Radiohead song not on one of the major albums. It's got a sexy motorik feel to it.

Hipnótica, que raros son los tiempos en esta rola, Radiohead debe retomar lo que dejó pendiente con KID A/Amnsiac.

let's get a whole album of this kind of stuff (2) Totally agree with that statement < This is needs to be the future of radiohead, dark, weird, experimental but still not too hard to listen to.

Has anyone actually printed the artwork provided by the band for this track? On tracing paper and all that? Didn't think so. Hardly seems worth it for one track...

@day-sleeper: the song lucky was originally released as a single for a charity album in 1995, and that made it on to Ok Computer two years later. so it's not impossible we won't see twisted words on TKOL2, if it exists that is.

We can hear the beginning of this song at the end of "Separator"...

@MichaelT85: I think people are just jealous of Radiohead, because those bands can't make music like this =)
