Amnesiac is the fifth studio album by the English band Radiohead. It was released on 4 June in the United Kingdom and on 5 June 2001 in the United States and Canada, debuting at #1 on the UK charts and #2 on the Billboard Top 200. Seen as the furthest departure yet from the rock style and heart-on-sleeve songwriting of the band’s early career, Amnesiac nevertheless has more audible guitar than its direct predecessor Kid A, and unlike that album, it spun off several singles. Like Kid A, it synthesizes influences of music, music, music, and .

What is the deal with people writing the same comment multiple times and writing a number afterwards? I've never understood it. It feels like spam. [2]

I'm starting to prefer this over Kid A. Or maybe it has always been that way and I didn't want to accept it.

I love how the album covers of Kid A and Amnesiac reflect the music perfectly. Kid A is huge and atmospheric, and Amnesiac is claustrophobic as all hell. [3]
