Biography

Rachel Perry is no ordinary nineteen-year-old. Not every teenager has the opportunity to leave her home and move to Los Angeles to pursue a promising career in music. With the vocal ability of a person twice her age, and the stage presence of a professional, its not surprising that her parents decided to move her across the country to help make her dreams become a reality.

Rachel was born in Jackson, Michigan and came into the world singing on September 3rd 1986. Her family moved to Toledo, Ohio, in 1987 where she spent the first 16 years of her life singing and performing for anyone who would listen. Rachel made her first appearance as a 3-year-old soloist at her Grandfather’s church. It wasnt long before her parents were forced to make house rules to prevent Rachel’s persistent singing at the dinner table, just to get her to eat her food. Her relentless desire to sing inspired her to stay active in voice lessons, competitions, performances, and musicals.

Rachel comes from a long line of professional vocalists. Her Grandfather was an Irish Tenor who toured the United States and sang in a large number of venues. Her mother is a Vocal Performance Major who studied at the University of Michigan and sang all across Europe as a teenager.

This version of Buddha's Delight is FAR BETTER than Haley Bennett's version. The filmmakers of "Music & Lyrics" should've used Rachel's version, as it would've made the song a bonafide platinum hit!
