Rachel Kenedy was born around teatime on October 25th 1989 in London. Already showing musical interest & obvious talent, she began her studies of the piano at the age of 4. Born into a very musical home, Kenedy found delight in all musical forms. Her father, a professional cellist, guided her through her classical tuitions, whilst her older brother would beckon her to other styles, often pumping out film soundtracks for her to sing along with, in harmony. The other members of her family also had various more favoured styles of music, probably giving the reasoning to her ‘now very eclectic music taste’, as she puts it.

Always working on her own writing & coming up with countless songs, Kenedy eventually found herself experimenting with many genres & instruments. Although her first love was the piano, Kenedy also liked to use the fiddle & the guitar, though she claims that she ‘has to think about it when playing them, whereas with the piano, it just flows’. Her favourite tool to use, however, is her voice. Gifted with a talent for singing from childhood, her voice is used in all of her music as the source of her beautiful harmonies & powerful melodies.

Kenedy claims to have no major musical influences; she believes that ‘everything one listens to and everything one experiences can be seen as an influence in some way’.

Now with a large repertoire of songs, Kenedy is working towards her debut album.
