RENTRER EN SOI was a japanese melodic metal band, also recognized as a visual kei band. Their music can be described as heavy rock with melodic sound and heavy ballads.
The band was formed in 2001 in Japan, by Satsuki (砂月 , vocals), Takumi (匠, guitar), Ao (蒼, guitar), and Ryo (遼, bass). In 2003 they got a fifth member, Mika (未架, drums). In 2004, Ao decided to leave the band, so one month later Shun (瞬) joined the band as their new guitarist. In the beginning of 2005, they released their album, “Sphire-Croid”. In 2006, with the release of their second album, “RENTRER EN SOI”, the band name was changed from “Rentrer en Soi” to “RENTRER EN SOI”.
In 2006, the band was signed in Europe by the German record label GAN-SHIN. They also were signed in US by the American division of FREE-WILL. In 2007 they had their first performances in Europe: one concert in Kassel, Germany and one in Paris, France. They also released two of their albums in Europe, “RENTRER EN SOI” in August, and “The bottom of chaos” in September. In October, they did their first performance in the US at Oni-Con in Houston, Texas.
Their last live occurred on December 25, 2008.
