Voice Of Harold (4:23)

Cover of Dead Letter Office

From Dead Letter Office and 3 other releases

While recording Reckoning, Stipe spontaneously sang the liner notes to the gospel album “The Joy of Knowing Jesus” over the music for 7 Chinese Brothers. While he didn’t sing everything in the liner notes, he not only included the catalog number for the record, but also a sticker on the shrink wrap advertising the services of a recording studio.

I like this one much better than 7 Chinese Brothers. Suddenly you know they are real. They mean it. [2] a must.

I'd rather put this on than "7 Chinese Bros". [2]

I'd rather put this on than "7 Chinese Bros". Stipe's drawling over those liner notes make a better and more memorable ally than the ones off Reckoning.

You see, to me, 7 Chinese Brothers is rather forgettable. I remember this one so much better.

Best song ever? Nah, but it is awesome, especially concidering the fact the lyrics are liner notes from a gospel album. Still, I prefer 7 Chinese Brothers.
