Biography

Qwanell Mosley (born on September 29, 1988 in Rochester, New York), better known as “Q “or “Que”, is an American singer best known as a contestant on the hit MTV show, “Making the Band 4”.

At the age of four Que lost his father and relied on his mother, his sisters and grandfather for support throughout his growing years. To join MTV’s 2007 reality search Making the Band 4, he gave up a full scholarship at Five Towns College to pursue his music career. Qwanell’s talent in singing and dancing impressed the judge, executive producer and Bad Boy CEO, P. Diddy. And this led to him scoring a spot in the “band”, Day26. He was the youngest member of the all male super-quintet, Day26 (signed to Bad Boy Records, along with Danity Kane and Donnie Klang). Day26 consists of him, Robert Curry, Willie Taylor, Brian Andrews, and Michael McCluney. After some disagreements Que and Day 26 parted ways.

After a short break Que returned with Soul World Entertainment in early 2010 with buzz about his new solo mixtape which he titled “The Q Files”, immediately dropping his first single, “Make It”. After promoting his project via Twitter, Ustream, along with a strand of YouTube videos which he titled “Countdown to Day 26”, Que held a listening party in in Washington, D.C. at the Recess Lounge [5] where it received mostly positive feedback. The Q Files (hosted by DJ QuickSilva) was released on March 22, 2010. The mixtape consists of 11 tracks, and features artists such as Lil Mo, Dawn Richard, D.C. Don Juan, Kingpen Slim, Bear Witnez and others.

Que is currently working on an acoustic inspired mixtape which he is titling “Guitar Hero”, as well as learning to play the guitar in the process
