    oh yeah, pre-Dino Quicksilver. Saw them many times from '68 thru '73. Tremendous ensemble guitar playin'. These guys smoked! Just walking into the hall, and seeing Cippolina's amps, and the "bat guitar". That tiger-growling sound. Screamin' ecstatic solos. Gary Duncan the perfect couterpoint.

    Happy Trails is my favorite album from the San Francisco acid rock scene, especially "Maiden of the Cancer Moon" and the EPIC "Calvary" (which sounds like a sweeping and spooky Morricone score on peyote.)
