Just once in a while we’re given a brief escape from the soul-less plastic marketing, which like some
unstoppable virus, invades our speakers and headspace. Queen Elvis delivers such an escape with awesome results.
Drawing on their broad experience in music and life, the band bring the listener on a journey that touches the joy
and upset that shape our days. Queen Elvis fearlessly tackle the discord and conflict of modern life and its
inherent politics.
Core band members Colin and Caroline Stanley (formerly of Big Bag of Sticks) lay the foundations of a new folk

music in Ireland. Caroline’s beautiful and unusual voice is complemented by Colin’s evocative guitar rhythms.
He’s a guitarist rated by many as one of Ireland’s finest.
This innovative pair are now working with a full band:-
Geoff Ward on saxophone and mandolin
Walter Feitcher on fretless bass
Tom Cody percussionist extraordinaire.
The band has gigged extensively on the festival circuits
of Ireland and Europe including Italy, Germany and Switzerland.
Over the last year alone, Queen Elvis have shared the stage with many renowned Irish and International artists,
including Roesy, Mark Chadwick (The Levellers), Justin Sullivan and Dean White(New Model Army)Emmet Scanlon, The Timber Tramps and Noelie McDonnell
Past gigs in Ireland are too many to list but highlights include The Electric Picnic, Eamon Doran’s and The
Cobblestone in Dublin, The Róisín Dubh and The Crane Bar in Galway and Dolans in Limerick.
