I want to like this so bad, I'm a raging Queen fan but it's just not to my taste. Kudos to them for putting themselves out there though

Even though everyone seems to hate this, I still love this album. It's 3 artists doing what they love most: making music.

This was a positive surprise. Of course The Cosmos Rocks is not like the "old" Queen, but still quite good music from these legends.

I agree, it's like Paul Rodgers+Queen instead Queen+Paul Rodgers. I had to listen it many times but finally I liked it, it's not a bad album, and it gets better every time you hear it. It's a rock album with some blues songs, it doesn't sound like queen but...

The Cosmos Rocks album is very well release. Almost all songs from the CD is just good, especially Small + Reprise. Paul's voice is warm and strong, he did a really good job. May, Taylor and Rodgers show us kids, how real old-school rock must to sound in 2008. Well done. Special thanks to the guys for Runaway. Too bad Freddie not here with us.

I agree with 01001001 - sounds much more like a Bad Company album featuring Brian May and Roger Taylor - but that's not necessarily a bad thing - still pretty good music from these legendary musicians.

TCR is not a bad album. In fact, I'd rate it way above other Queen albums such as The Works and A Kind of Magic. In fact - I'd put it in my top 10 favorite Queen albums. I cannot understand why people just can't enjoy new material from Brian and Roger... Sure, it's not Queen as we knew it. But Freddy's been dead for a long time - and Brian and Roger obviously still have something to offer. Cry all you want, but tracks like Some Things That Glitter, Through The Night or Small would've fit on pretty much ANY Queen album. The singing is different, but the music is simply QUEEN. I really hope this isn't the last we hear of QPR. Ofcourse we can't expect a new Bohemian Rhapsody, March of the Black Queen or Innuendo from this band. But hey, songs like Surf's Up, Warboys etc - they kick ass, even though they're not BRILLIANT material.

It sounds more like Paul Rogers + Queen than Queen + Paul Rogers. There are too many songs in the style of Bad Company in the album.

Worse Then "Hot Space" ? Not possible. This is a quite a good record. Of course, there could be a problem with likening this album when you're one of the "Freddie=Queen Fans". But if you're willing to accept that there is a new guy singing songs of Brian & Roger, it really shouldn't be that hard to like. Heck, see it as something different, if this should help ...
