Biography

Newcastle, Australia (1996 – 2005)

Purplene was an indie rock band whose life began in the industrial city of Newcastle, Australia in 1996. They released two albums, two EPs, and two singles before disbanding in the spring of 2005 as one of Sydney’s most respected rock groups.

Download some Purplene’s rarer song for free here: http://lostandfoundmusiclibrary.blogspot.com/ (the band agrees to this) Sadly this blog no longer exists. D’oh!

You can now purchase the classic album Ruining It for Everybody here.

ABlueRogue knows where it's at. Think I prefer the s/t by a hair tho.

After enjoying their self titled for 2 years, I finally got ahold of "Ruining it for Everybody" and I'm blown away. It's so damn good. Seriously, get it in your possession.

I meant to post something here in response, but my internet died at the time and i lost my shout ;) Anyway, the EP itself has 4 songs, but in those rarities you can download from the Lost & Found Music Library, there are more songs that are listed as being from the Marketplace recording. i've got a total of 8 (including those from the CD) listed as Songs from the Marketplace.

Oooh, free EP? Jealous. Doesn't Songs From the Marketplace only have four songs anyway, though? Just a heads-up: The S/T appears on eBay now and then. Prices aren't too bad either.
