Brooklyn electro duo, Purple Crush, exploded onto the digital club sphere in early 2007 with the release of Welcome 2 EmoClub EP on their own label, Crushed Records, which included the heavily remixed track Shopping On The Dancefloor. Spreading their wild live shows across the US and Europe, this notorious married couple flooded the internet with saucy tracks, campy remixes and low budget yet infectiously entertaining music videos, becoming an established name in the underground dance world.

At the top of the decade Purple Crush emerges an up and coming force within the pop sphere. They’ve done production work for Lady Gaga, Greyson Chance, Cathy Dennis and Little Boots, and are frequent remixers for Cherry Tree/Interscope Records, with work released for Far East Movement (Rocketeer (Purple Crush Remix)) and Natalia Kills (Mirrors (Purple Crush Remix)).

Recently, official Grammy blogger, Arjan Writes, did a post on the duo’s new single Sweat, stating “that’s exactly what Purple Crush wants to achieve with their music. They put out fun, flirty pop with an unstoppable and bold attitude that will have fans eager for more.”

What happens when indie darlings move their underground hustle pop? Let’s just say the world’s about to get crushed.
