I could never get fully into this. Obviously interesting as a historical object but the music isn't as fun and full of samples as that on Fear of a Black Planet, and the beats don't slam nearly as hard as those on Apocalypse 91

The first few listens, this was little more than noise to me (and I'm an avant-garde head). And then the brilliant layering revealed itself. Absolutely incredible, some of the best rap I've heard.
