Definitely as technical as BTBAM, but I think that's where the comparisons end. BTBAM has no post-hardcore elements whatsoever. Either way, both bands are awesome. [2]

Yeah, that guitar scream after that decending scale is dragon forcey sounding at first if you haven't listened to these guys much but it is tight. Im assuming that is the part at 3:18. I missed it. I've never heard BTBAM live, do they sound just like studio?

Jon & Baronzzi. No one cares about your colorful vocabulary.

While doubtlessly very talented musicians, what irritates me about Protest the Hero is that the constant chord and tact changes seem very contrived and there is no common theme. Makes it seem more of an étude than a symphony to draw an analogy to classical music. That's why I personally prefer Animals as Leaders for a techinally very intricate and sophisticated band.

Comparisons between BTBAM and PTH: 1. proggy, 2. technical riffage, 3. talented musicians, 4. original ideas, 5. program music, 6. bands I like. That's about it imo.

The intro reminds me of Trivium.

the difference between them and BTBAM is real vocals. guttural screams are great once in a while for emphasis but i want to listen to actual singing most of the time. rody fits right in there with claudio sanchez and robert plant and i can't wait to see what PTH comes up with next

Saw these guys last year. AMAZING show, def my favorite ever... Rhody was more of an asshole than usual though... and we got mooned by the bassist.
