Sao Paulo, Brazil (2005 – present)

The Projeto Música Livre (Free Music Project) was born in Sao Paulo, Brasil, in 2005. It was conceived as an open band, formed by a group of friends and Music lovers that decided to meet periodically to fulfill the need of musical expression (and have fun while doing it). The rehearsals were a few hours of experiments, idea exchange and improvisational brainstorm. Thru time, certain themes consolidated and members own songs were added to the set of the meetings. This became the band’s creative method. Even if the music line is solid, it’s still open for new ideas and elements, even if these turn the original concept upside down.

Originally, the band was formed by Diego Dalia, Fi Vedolin, Thithio, Guile Oliveira and anyone else that was present. Soon came the first “hires”: Billy Oh and Tom Monteiro would join the group. To keep everyone satisfied, an instrument pool was made. But the changes were just beggining… Thithio moved to Rio de Janeiro for academic formation (read: beer, beaches, beautiful women e lots of music), forcing a reconfiguration of the band. Pedro Baroni’s guitar and Fred’s freak-sax joined the fellowship in its work. In the early 2007, Fred quits the band and Thithio announces his return from Rio (which happened in October), consolidating the actual formation:

Diego Dalia (bass/keyboards/vocal)
Fi (drums/vocal)
Thithio (guitar/interferences/vocal)
Guile Oliveira (guitar/eletronics)
Billy Oh (bass/keyboards)
Tom Monteiro (drums/eletronikaos)
Baroni (guitar/interferences)
