Project Falcon… More exciting than a Cable Tv message on your answering machine at 5 in the morning. The Falcon seems to have always been here. 9 years in the making and too many eps to recall.

The band began it’s days back in the Fall of 1999 at a small gathering at Daniel McEachern’s home in Port Neches, TX. Jedi Guitarist, Greg Williams, and fancy vocalist, Brian Girolamo, were sitting around on the porch attempting to perform Tool’s AEnima for the first time together. Soon after, the party was scattered due to a few officers of the law responding to a noise violation. Ironically, this began the Greg and Brian Sessions Tapes which began in Spring of 2000.

Given the name ‘Project Falcon’ by Hunter Keeney around this time, Greg and Brian began writing and making tapes under this name and soon went through a slew of band members that jammed with us. Among them were Hunter Keeney, Jeff Bedair, Dave Macha, Ryan Stelly, Ryan Byrne, Jason Duplant, Kevin Kupper, Mark Ponder, Curtis Tinsley, Dave Sapp and finally Girolamo’s cousin Derek Akins arose to take up the bass and begin writing and playing with the band. Derek “Double D” Akins, who had just started playing the bass for another local act, Sunrise, had a jam room down the hall from the local band Audio Angel and Atomic Trinity, where Project Falcon would also practice. He would pop in and check the bands, listening to Greg and Girolamo as well and soon became a staple in the group. Sunrise quickly went on hiatus and so Double D was asked to join the Falcon as full time bassist. He agreed and joined Project Falcon for life and began writing with Greg and Brian (“Hand Down, Jesus Drives a Neon, Old Age and Beamers, Swandive, Idioplomacy”).

Oh my... well, the Falcon is no more, but this year being the 10 year anniversary of the band needed to push on. Halloween has always been a special day for the Falcon as far as EP's drop in the …
