This power-rock foursome excel at putting on a “show”, having often been described as an “ARENA ACT” they have alot to live up to. These guys put a 110% into every performance and there brand of energetic, heads down rock leave audiences gagging for more. Their first full length album “Whilst we’re on the subject” contains 10 tracks that often break the 5-6 minute mark giving it a progressive edge but keeping your attention hooked from beginning to end. The final track, the title track of the album is an absolute belter that has one of the best outro riffs i’ve heard in ages with a definate Rage against the Machine vibe. 2011 will bring a 2nd album release.
PRIMAL DEVICE might hail from Milton Keynesbut don’t hold that against them. They’ve clearly put the frustration of being locked away in the country’s wierdest town to good use, writing a set of visceral post-hard-core tunes that drip youthful exuberance and showcase huge potential. At their best (‘Motion Sickness’, ‘Whilst We’re On The Subject’) the tangled riffage and boarderless energy offers enough to suggest that, afew records down the line, we could have a UK answer to At The Drive In on our hands.
