Formed in 2000 in Norway; Sigve Monsen, Per Waagen & Svein Joar Auglaend Johnsen are Pride and Fall. The music can be described as Futurepop or a club friendly approach to goth/darkwave.
Pride and Fall have released two full-length albums, Nephesh (2003) and Elements of Silence (2006). As of September 2006 they are once again back in studio working on a release for 2007. The releases can be found on Dependent Records in Europe and Metropolis Records in the USA.
Press release 2006: Pride and Fall spent a grueling two years in the studio after the release of their debut, “Nephesh”, in order to create an album worthy of being called a follow-up. They failed. What they created could in fact be called their pinnacle achievement : “Elements Of Silence” has all of the elements that bands twice as old as Pride And Fall only hope they can attain. Catchy melodies, beat driven hooks, fast paced synths, and smooth vocals that flow over the music like water over ice. From dance floor destroyers, to dark, heartfelt ballads, to introspective shoe gazer tracks - Pride And Fall’s “Elements Of Silence” is set to become one of the classic must have albums in electronic music
