Norma Jean Beasler (b. January 30, 1938), better known as Pretty Miss Norma Jean, is an American country music singer who was a member of The Porter Wagoner Show from 1961–1967. She had a number of country singles in the Top 10 and Top 20 between 1963 and 1967, including "Go Cat Go" and "The Game of Triangles", and was instrumental in opening doors for other female country singers. Back in the "old days" of country (that's 1966-1972 for you young whipper-snappers) we actually LISTENED to good music and prized the talent that could really sing the stuff. Most of the artists back then were not over-dubbed/mult-mixed wonders in a studio but REAL singers who could carry a tune and entertain LIVE without gimmicks. Norma Jean was one of those talents. Man, what I wouldn't give to have her hug me today and say: "Thanks, Sonny for playing my songs back in the old days. Here's a BIG kiss for you!" ... Yes, old radio DJs dream and stay horny ......
