You surely are a truly gifted kid
But you're only as good as
The last great thing you did
And where've you been since then?

Without a doubt possibly the best band to ever come out of the 80's. This album still stuns me at its greatness.

Wow - Prefab Sprout...now that takes me back. My friend Lisa always said I always liked "weird" bands just to be different. Ah, no, my friend, I liked GOOD bands that you were too stupid to have never discovered!

Ah, 'underrated' .. it's just in a different dimension than those 'rated' .. the world is deaf

natorres: 3 of those 5 best pop groups ever should be Prefab Sprout, XTC and 10cc (in no particular order)

There´s only one thing to complain: why didn´t they continue, all the band? They were so great, complex and simple at the same time, great music that is so hard to find now. Vesputo says "PS is the bets britpop" - I do better: they are one of the 5 best pop groups ever .

The opening is classic Paddy; complex at heart, simple on the surface. Sheer genius.

If it's uphill all the way you should be used to it and say My back is broad enough sir to take the strain...and it's Hello Mother!.... Best track on Steve McQueen.
