Biography

Post Human Era is the work of brothers Daniel and Michael Finfer. Daniel mostly composes and records the materials by himself, while Michael directs the band’s music videos and plays guitar and keyboards live.

Their music is best described as “post-pop” or “electronica-post-pop”.

Their work is highly Influenced by artists such as Radiohead, Death Cab for Cutie, Postal Service, Nine Inch Nails, Mogwai and Sigur Rós, and contains elements of ambient, electro-pop, and post-rock music.

Originally from Bellingham, WA, Daniel and Michael now live in Los Angeles.

The band is now playing shows in the LA area. Current members are Dan Finfer, Michael Finfer, Dave Bartkowiak Jr. (bass), Josh Stark (guitar) and Steven Kurschner (drums).

According to Daniel, Post Human Era is ”my way of exposing the general public to ideas they may never come across in the channels of the mass media. More often than not, I’ve hidden deep, philosophical ideas in upbeat pop songs. That way, someone can be drawn into a song, and then after a few listens realize the song is really a journal entry written by someone living through the end of the world. Or someone traveling through time. Or someone waking up to find that humanity has been replaced by a God-like hive mind of thought. Or someone trying to buy candy from a Vending Machine.”
