Don't really like it that much, sounds like they decided to try and keep up with the thrash scene instead of expand on what was unique in Seven Churches...

Beyond the Gates sounds great to me, I really can't hear anything disappointing in the production regarding what i've heard from others. Maybe it could have been panned out a little more but other than that, its a great recording. Not as innovative as Seven Churches but the ethereal feelings from this album is so awesome. Phantasm and the beasts of the apocalypse would be my favourite tracks.
