Posh Quiche were formed in 2007 in Ayr, Scotland by Thomas Denholm and David McDiarmid. Initially a project designed to upstage their peers during their sixth year talent show (a contest which they won), the two-man band later developed into a cresendo of unfathomable musical delights (aided by poetry-writing during their free periods and the now legendary Common Room sessions)
By the Summer of 2008 the buxom duo had fueled their talents into their first major LP - 'The Stirrups of Love', released to a rapturous reception (especially by Ameena Nur, the only person to actually pay for her copy). The album explored a stunning variety of moods and genres, from the melancholic intones of 'At Loving War', to the jubilant Latin vibes of 'Esmerelda La Puta'.
Not much time had passed before the band explored more unusual avenues, fermenting their experimental natures into dark and mysterious melodies. The end product was the 'Moonface' EP, partially inspired by a frightening lunar souvenir discovered while on holiday in Portugal.
In December 2008, the band released their first Christmas single - 'Merry Child'.
Currently the band have just finished their 2nd LP 'Time' released in March 2011. The band are currently looking for gigs in the summer…
