First was Portugal. The Man and Drug Rug at the Santa Fe Brewing Company.
I actually only heard about this the day before and found out it was on Thursday, October First so I actually had little time to get money and get a ride, but I did. And boy was I glad I did.
Drug Rug started off, and I had only listened to a couple songs on their myspace before hand, so I had no idea what to expect from them in a live setting. They were great fun, playing a sort of Americana Rock n' Roll, mixed with the occasional Folky vibe. Easily the thing that stood out about them was that they liked to switch instruments in between songs, each person rotating about the stage. It was very interesting and almost comedic to watch, in the best way possible. They finished off with the lead singer hop on the drums, and playing a fun little tune. A sweet band that was the cherry on top of a fantastic concert.
