The Blind House (5:47)

Cover of The Incident

From The Incident and 3 other releases

According to Steven Wilson, “The Blind House” refers to a fictitious religious cult. In the song he expresses his opinion on organised religions, as previously done in the tracks “Halo” from “Deadwing”, “Even Less” from “Stupid Dream” and “Signify” from the album of the same name.

It’s no secret that in the music each note, each musical phrase is not just some informative, but also implies a musical image. Wilson's tunes have nothing superfluous, only the main action. His works are something incredible and special. Each melody, each plate is a separate world, a different story with a clearly traceable storyline.

Yeah, it's possible, have you listened to The Grand Conjuration or By the Pain I See in Others, there are 2 bad Opeth tracks. And the comment I made is because of the heavy riff at the beginning (and the end), a pretty much plain riff that could be in a mediocre track by them.

It has one of the enjoyablest guitar riff of all time. Really love to play it, even with acoustic!

"Sounds like a bad track from Opeth" Implying that either PT or Opeth can do wrong?...

@cisnenegro: And the fact that Wilson himself has said that beginning riff sounds like an Opeth one.

"You've scrobbled this track 15 times." Well, maybe, but the CD has been played to death in my car. At ear-bleedingly loud volumes, obviously.
