    Saw these guys open for DEVO at the PNE Forum. That and a gig pimping a store on the edge of Gastown (store is long gone but it was next to today's Incendio restaurant).

    Used to be Ernest Dick and the Pointed Sticks at the begining - Ernie left early on though. One of the greatest unsung bands of their time. One of the first to be signed to the very short-lived Stiff Canada label (basically went under about the time the ink dried on the paperwork).

    in 1978 i picked up a 7-inch by pointed sticks. chose it mostly cuz pointed sticks reminded me of monty python - stupid reason as any, i guess. got it home, it was 'what do you want me to do' backed with 'somebodies mom.' i've always loved the single... just ripped it... but had no idea how their careers had gone after that. heh. was more into DOA and (Vancouver) Subhumans about then, I g
