**Born June 11 1952 in Mexico City, Omar Jaso studied piano at an early age at Mexico’s National Conervatory of Music. In 1964, he began a series of concerts of classical music, using his own arrangements, and his own compostions. In 1971, he did arrangements for the rock opera Tommy in Mexico City. In 1972 thru 1974, he moved to Austin, Tx and played keyboards with the rock group Polvo, playing their original compostions and winning the Austin Battle of the Bands. He then joined Mr. Loco and won the Yamaho World Music Festival in Tokyo. They went on to record multiple albums and tour Japan, Europe and Mexico. Back in the US, he played with Light Year for the next several years and toured the southern US. In 1982, he wrote ATLANTES DE TULA, frequently played in Mexico on radio and tv and considered a second national anthem. He then turned his talents to composing jingles for Grupo Modelo (Corona) beer company and also wrote jingles for Ford Motor Co., Adams Gum, Bancomer, Cheverolet and many other international companies. He composed Caballero Aguila for the World Cup Mexico ‘86 He has done TV work also, including themes for Miss Universe Acapulco, the sitcom Papa Soltero (which ran for 10 years), the Heraldo Awards Show, to name a few. He has writen rock for Timberiche and Sasha and has recorded his own rock albums in his unique style. Omar continues his career in Houston, Texas and promoting his extraordinary material from the City of Entertainment Las Vegas!
