Established in 2001 after an ad placed by guitarist Robert-Jan Rischen, the group quickly developed to a promising new act, attracting crowdy venues and good reviews. Just half a year later, the unexpected death of their founding member during an epileptic fit on January 27th 2002 leaves the group shocked. The band took a hiatus to come back matured, in spring 2003, with their first ep titled “Platform pH 01”. The charched cd includes the last song Robert-Jan wrote, “What´s Left To Ask The World Today?”. Now, years later, the band became on of the tightest young groups around because of their shared history. The jurys of bandcompetitions all over the country approve this, and the second album “Singles 2005” was a good-selling local piece of art.

Being in your early twenties is a phase with a dual character. It’s the era of having enough future to look forward to, enough past to regret, and the present being busy making other plans, as Lennon sr. put it nicely. Plastic Halo, born an average 22 years ago, wouldn’t be the first to have all this as a central theme, but also doesn’t resort to limitless self-pity. The new record, “The Time Is Right, But What’s Left Of It?” is a collection of songs with a dramatical optimism, when even the light at the end of the tunnel appears to be a lightning bug in a cave…
