Czw 11 VIII – Stuttgarter Sternstunden

It happend. It's so hard to believe in, but it really did.
    I saw Placebo live.
And it was better than I could have ever expected.

About a month before the show, Polish fans from PFWW decided to go to Stuttgart to see Placebo onstage again after a long break. It was their only festival show in 2011, they're not on tour now. We started the preparations and on 10th August me and 49 other Placebo and 30stm fans went on our beautiful journey together. We spent about 13 hours in our bus and about 8 am finally arrived in Stuttgart. We started queueing very early when there was almost no one else, but it was so worth it.
Me and my friend saw Stefan Olsdal in the street, we were about 2 meters away from him, but we acted so fucking stupid and freaked out and didn't dare say a thing...
At 4 pm they started letting people in, and, really, I didn't know that I can run SO fast. We had to run across the whole place…

Placebo at Moscow Arena, September 21, 2010

Fortunately for all the attendees of the second-day, and the few of keen-kind fellows from the first-day, Placebo gig has happened in common mode. The health has been improved, the cruel crowd perception has been blinded and so on. I’m more to be kidding about it because the story is complicated, the year-longer health affecting tour, unqualified promoter, or maybe father-being turned him to pay more attention to audience’s condition which he wouldn't notice earlier. It’s really sad, and especially for people who made a long trip, who have been waiting and craving to see the band, but the reviewing the case itself as well as premises and consequences is out of the article’s scope.

They’ve played their immutable set-list they play since passed summer. The version is about 2.5 because the opening set-list of Battle For The Sun Tour was different, with lot of new songs. Songs For What It's Worth, Speak In Tongues, Julien…

  • Insomnia + nothing better to do = 50 questions about my top 50 artists

    8 Jul 2010, 07:03 by ohsnapitsdiddy

    1. How did you get into 31? (2Pac)
My peers liked him and quoted him all the time. When he died, videos and his songs played all the time and he was CUTE (hey, I was a shallow kid)! I still go through random 2Pac phases.

    2. What's your favourite lyric by 41? (Muse)
I don't really pay attention to lyrics. I only like about 7 Muse songs and it's mostly due to the lovely instrument playing (drums! guitars!) and awesome melodies... So it's funny they're in my top 50 artists. I guess it was because I listened to most of their songs (that had been available in 2007-2008 and there were a lot) hoping they were all super awesome, but Black Holes and Revelations was really their best album to date. With all that said Knights of Cydonia has the best lyrics ever: DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR TIME WILL WASTE YOU!

    3. How many times have you seen 9 live? (Yeah Yeah Yeahs)
    None.

    4. What is your favourite album by 49? (M.I.A.)
I like them all the same. No faves.

    5. How many albums by 13 do you own? (David Bowie)

  • Placebo - Song To Say Goodbye

    18 Dec 2009, 04:43 by led-zeppelin-f

Placebo - Song To Say Goodbye
You are one of God's mistakes,
You crying, tragic waste of skin,
I'm well aware of how it aches ,
And you still won't let me in.
Now I'm breaking down your door,
To try and save your swollen face ,
Though I don't like you anymore,
You lying, trying waste of space..

    Before our innocence was lost,
You were always one of those ,
    Blessed with lucky sevens ,
And the voice that made me cry .
    My Oh My.

You were mother nature's son ,
Someone to whom I could relate ,
Your needle and your damage done,
Remains a sordid twist of fate.
Now I'm trying to wake you up ,
To pull you from the liquid sky ,
    Coz if I don't we'll both end up ,
With just your song to say goodbye.
    My Oh My.

    A song to say goodbye,
A song to say goodbye ,
    A song to say...

    Before our innocence was lost,
You were always one of those,
    Blessed with lucky sevens,
And the voice that made me cry.

It's a song to say goodbye.
