Biography

New band by Death Row founder and ex-Pentagram guitarist/songwriter Victor Griffin. He has reunited with original Death Row bassist Lee Abney and Tim Tomaselli on drums. Extremely solid traditional Doom-metal that will most definitely appeal to fans of both Victor Griffin’s earlier bands. After Spirit Caravan broke up, Doom legend Wino (also ex-The Obsessed and ex-St. Vitus) briefly joined Place of Skulls before forming The Hidden Hand. Later Dennis of Revelation and ex-Oversoul also joined the lineup.

“Shortly after releasing “As a Dog Returns” in 2010, Victor rejoined Pentagram for a two-year album & tour stint. Upon departing Pentagram, he founded a new project, Victor Griffin’s In-Graved.”

I'm not that bothered by Christian lyrics enough to prevent me from listening a band , but unless done interestingly and in a non-preachy tone, I can't really get behind them either, especially if that's the main lyrical focus of a band. People who don't understand why metalheads have different attitudes towards Satanic and genuine preachy Christian lyrics will probably never truly "get it" and it's pointless trying to explain. It has less to do with "offensiveness" and more to do with "lameness".

Yes, better be careful or Jesus might get you. Much like you should never read any "holy books" because they might corrupt your weak little mind. People fear what they don't understand and hate what they fear. I guess I'll be off now to the Cannibal Corpse page to announce to the world that while I very much enjoy their music, I cannot accept violence towards anyone and do not wish to see the undead ravage the earth.

Religious lyrics annoy me no matter what type they are. I think the reason why people annoy themselves on christian lyrics and not satanic is because 99% of the times when it's satanic lyrics it's a show, 99% of the times when it's christian lyrics they really mean it.

it never fails to astound me how offput metalheads are about christian lyrics when satanic ones don't bother them, especially if they believe in neither (a category i fall into). solid doom metal is solid.
